Increased paving of the landscape and the neglect of mountainous and hilly areas have led to a significant increase in mudslides, landslides, floods etc.. At the same time public awareness has forced local governments to review their land management policies, not only to try to prevent the damage caused by natural disasters but also to develop better informed management processes and promote sustainable development. The prevention of surface erosion is a fundamental part of modern environmental protection. Erosion prevention products and systems enable the fine fraction of exposed surfaces to be protected by maintaining revegetation capacity, reducing runoff and safeguarding substrata against wind erosion so that seed material used for re-vegetation is protected, thus helping it to germinate. TeMa provides several comprehensive solutions which are versatile and respond to a variety of erosion management and environmental restoration needs.
When building re-enforced earthworks KMat F can be used between the formwork and the re-enforcement grille and then filled with appropriate soil for planting and sowing. This application promotes the re-greening process of a project protecting the work from surface erosion and blending it into the surrounding environment. Behind the reinforced soil the designer always use a drainage geocomposite like Q drain 20. |
